Stephen and Soo Bay are short-term missionaries with the Evangelical Covenant Church, the denomination that their home church is a part of.
Soo has a degree in graphic design from Ehwa University in Seoul, South Korea, where she was born. She began her career at LG and continued at a major calendar company in the US, putting her career on hold to become a full-time homemaker when her first child was born in 2007. Soo has since put her design skills to use as a volunteer for Newsong’s moms’ and children’s ministries.

Stephen joined the staff of Newsong Church in Irvine, California in 2006. Prior to that, he worked in the media arts, including graphic design, filmmaking, video production, and creative writing. As the prayer ministry pastor at Newsong, his role included spiritual and emotional care, mentoring, teaching, premarital coaching, and even producing Sunday services. Stephen is working towards an MA degree in Christian Formation at North Park Theological Seminary.
